How do I add the slideshow to my store?

Follow these 4 steps:

• Open the Theme Editor from your Shopify admin
• Click "Add section" and find "DC Image Slideshow"
• Set the section to full width for the best look
• Upload images and configure each slide

Do I need any coding knowledge?

No. Everything is configured directly in the Shopify theme editor. You just upload images, set links, and adjust settings using sliders and dropdowns.

How many slides can I add?

You can add up to 5 slides per slideshow. Each slide has its own image, link, kicker text, and title.

Can I add the slideshow to any page?

Yes. You can add the slideshow section to any page template in your theme — homepage, collection pages, product pages, or custom pages.

Can I link slides to products or collections?

Yes. Each slide has a link field where you can paste a link to any product, collection, page, or external URL. Visitors can click the slide to navigate there.

Does it support mobile devices?

Yes. The carousel is fully responsive with swipe and touch navigation. You can also upload separate mobile images and set a different aspect ratio for mobile devices.

What customization options are available?

You can customize:

• Active slide width (%)
• Aspect ratio (separate for desktop and mobile)
• Maximum height
• Corner radius
• Text overlay darkness
• Transition speed
• Auto-play on/off with custom interval

Does the app support auto-play?

Yes. You can enable auto-play and set a custom interval (in seconds) for how long each slide is displayed before automatically advancing to the next one.

Can I add text on top of images?

Yes. Each slide supports a kicker text (small label) and a slide title. A gradient overlay is applied automatically to ensure text readability, and you can adjust the overlay darkness.

Will the app slow down my store?

No. DC Image Slideshow Slider is built as a lightweight Theme App Extension. It loads only the minimal CSS and JavaScript needed and has zero impact on your store's performance score.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

The app leaves zero code behind. Since it's a Theme App Extension, all code is automatically removed when you uninstall. No manual cleanup needed.

Is the app compatible with all themes?

The app works with all Online Store 2.0 themes (the standard since 2021). This includes all free Shopify themes and most third-party themes.
